The purpose of this communication is to provide a status update and highlights for any interesting subjects from the Ubuntu Server Team. cloud-init

  • azure: retry imds polling on requests.Timeout (LP: LP:1800223)
  • azure: _poll_imds only retry on 404. Fail on Timeout (LP: #1803598)
  • logs: collect-logs ignore instance-data-sensitive.json on non-root user (LP: #1805201)
  • net: Ephemeral*Network: add connectivity check via URL
  • resizefs: Prefix discovered devpath with ‘/dev/’ when path does not exist [Igor Galić]

curtin

  • Add clear-holders to meta-simple (LP: #1786736)
  • Fix bug in is_swap_device if a device was smaller than page_size. (LP: #1803672)
  • unittest: change directory to tmpdir for testing relative files.
  • unittest: correctly use tmpdir for my.img [Joshua Powers] (LP: #1803611)
  • vmtest: add disco tests [Joshua Powers]
  • vmtests: check install log for Out of memory kernel messages and fail
